As the countdown continues for us we hope you are enjoying the look, the feel, the different approach taken for the new website.
We have continued on with our to do list and can now cross off the databases. It takes some internal configuration to have them connect for you - both internally when you are in the libraries using the databases and externally when you are anywhere else connecting to us. What a great deal databases are for us all! Free access to tons of magazine and newspaper articles ~ practice SAT and GRE tests among others ~ free language learning ~ online books for your kiddies to become engaged with reading ~ Consumer Reports full text ~ and tons more! If you haven't had the opportunity to check out these rich resources, try 'em now!

Where is the on-line catalog? I tried to look up a book that I know is in the library under the search area on top of the web site page but it said the book was not in the library. What did I do wrong?

thx for providing the title! are you using the blue website or the red/gray one? when i use the search box in the upper right (on the red/gray website) and enter the title, it shows up as the first result. when i click on the cover or title, then i am taken to detail page. when i search the online catalog on the blue site, it shows up first in search results. does this help?

I was in a website with a red line on top and the body was grey. On the top it had a line with keyword beside it. I changed that to title and wrote the title and clicked on search. It still came up as not able to find. On that page it said I did it under keyword so I filled in the spaces they prov

Sue - it sounds like we're in the same website, yea, but i'm not sure what is causing you to not see the title. will you be at Smoky Hill tomorrow around lunch? sitting at a computer would help clarify things for me....

Leave out any punctuation in your search--and it's usually best to stick to "all media" :-)
I use the ALD website to connect to HeritageQuest Online from home and to Ancestry Library Edition from the Library. It looks like the only way I can get to these is by scrolling through the database list. Will you have an easier route to get to these and other genealogy sites? With the old ALD website, they're grouped together on one page.

I finally got back on the Arap. Co. new website and followed the clue not to put any punctuation into the title and go for all media and it worked. Is that strange or not??

Dear Anonymous regarding the genealogy databases - you can more directly access the genealogy databases through the Research & Business link > Databases. Choose Genealogy from the cascading menu where you will be presented with only those databases. The same result occurs from the OnDemand tab > Online Newspapers, Magazines & Self Help. I hope you find this more convenient.
