I click on the "Movies" tab then "Recently Ordered" on the left side and am presented with a NON-SORTED list of 10 items, with 48 more pages to display. Trying to change/re-display the Sort option to Title has NO EFFECT.

Comments:

1. Allow access not only to recently ordered last calender month but also allow viewing of current month ordered so far (specifically for DVDs or whatever media type user picked) AS WELL AS any other previous month (up to perhaps a few months ago).

2. Allow user to change number of items displayed on each page. 10 is hardly enough when viewing today because there are 48 more clicks / pages to go through to see the entire list.

3. Allow user to specify a display format - either graphical or text. I'd ideally like to see a list ONLY for DVDs ordered last month, sorted alphabetically by title.

If you can't provide a text-only and/or downloadable format then please increase the number of items per page, SORTED PROPERLY by movie Title.

Sorting of Recently Ordered Movies by Title is the most important thing I can see on this web site that is NOT working.

I have a similar request for the Books, Recently Ordered tab. I also can't navigate to the second or subsequent pages. My favorite part of the existing web site is that early every month I can scroll through the list of all books ordered in the prior month. This is how I choose 90% of the items that I place on my hold list.

Hi,

I too tried to go to the Recently Ordered page, but it hung for quite a while and then it came up with many messages such as this:

Warning: MySQL server has gone away query: INSERT INTO watchdog (uid, type, message, variables, severity, link, location, referer, hostname, timestamp) VALUES (0, 'php', '%message in %file on line %line.', 'a:4:{s:6:\"%error\";s:12:\"user warning\";s:8:\"%message\";s:161:\"MySQL server has gone away\nquery: SELECT src FROM url_alias WHERE dst = 'homepage' AND language IN('en', '') ORDER BY language DESC\";s:5:\"%file\";s:48:\"/Volumes/SAS Mirror/htdocs/ald/includes/path.inc\";s:5:\"%line\";i:80;}', 3, '', 'http://65.114.255.141/ald/ald-faceted-search?link=facet_movies_recently_ordered&page=1', 'http://65.114.255.141/ald/movies', '76.25.52.10', 1269205134) in /Volumes/SAS Mirror/htdocs/ald/includes/database.mysqli.inc on line 128

Some of the other links like Borrow, Renew and Pay Fines also did not respond to clicks. I tried using Internet Explorer and Firefox.

Thanks,

Ashwin

Hello,

My comment was the previous one in this thread. I tried once more and did not get that error as before. So I tried to request a CD. The process went through ok both on IE and Firefox - however, one aspect was not proper on BOTH - it fails to show you the title of the CD on the popup showing the shopping cart AND after it has successfully requested the CDs. On the shopping cart, it shows the item number (1, 2), but the title portion is blank. The popup that shows the "request successful" message has a colon (:) after Request Successful, but no title (which I imagine is what it intended to show).

The site is coming along but is not quite there yet. There are also some other things I have always wanted the ALD site to provide. One of them is the ability to view my entire family's requests on one dashboard page. There are four of us, and I have to re-login as another person to see the entire picture for what is reserved on what account - it is quite inconvenient.

I have other ideas as well. You might form a user group to get feedback. This will help you get good ideas (maybe you already have this and I don't know it).

Kind Regards,

Ashwin
